When we pick up with Peter Parker's adventures in "Spider-Man: Far From Home," we'll see the young webslinger get a different sort of mentor.

Not only will the titular hero (Jake Gyllenhaal's character, Quentin Beck/Mysterio.

"If Tony Stark [Robert Downey Jr.] was sort of the mentor in the previous films, we thought it would be interesting to play Mysterio as almost like the cool uncle," Watts told EW.

Peter may need that given that his trip to Europe will be interrupted by having to fight a group called the Elementals. He'll connect with Mysterio through Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Yet for all this talk of Mysterio being "like a cool uncle," we can't help but wonder whether it will be that simple considering that the character is more complicated in the comic books.

In any case, we're excited to see Gyllenhaal make his MCU debut. "Spider Man: Far From Home" opens July 5.
