Will Smith Announces 'Bad Boys 3' Production Is Underway
Bad Boys aren't just coming for you -- they're back.
"Bad Boys 3" -- now officially called Will Smith revealed via Instagram on Sunday, Jan. 6 that production has begun.
"Day 1," he wrote as the caption for a photo of what appears to be a stack of "Bad Boys for Life" scripts. "I'll keep y'all posted."
Meanwhile, Smith's co-star, fellow Bad Boys series vet Martin Lawrence, shared a post of his own. "Let's get to work!" he wrote.
The two actors are reprising their roles as law enforcement officers Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) in the much-anticipated sequel. They first played the characters in 1995's Bilall Fallah are directing.
"Bad Boys for Life" is set to open in theaters Jan. 17, 2020.
