Gran Turismo Review
‘Gran Turismo’ offers a compelling based-on-truth racing story but still skids into cliches. Neill Blomkamp returns to bigger-budget filmmaking with this movie, which takes a unique approach to adapting a game.
Opening in limited release video game –– sorry, driving simulator as the movie’s characters are at pains to remind us –– to screens. And it’s a mostly successful effort, partly because it has a compelling true story/underdog tale to tell rather than trying to force a narrative onto a title that doesn’t have one.
