Golda Review
‘Golda’ feels like it never quite gets under the skin of its real-life title character. Helen Mirren stars as the Israeli Prime Minister, who must deal with her country’s traumatic time in the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
Opening in theaters on August 25th, ‘Golda’ is a look at a specific moment in the life of former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir. Starring Helen Mirren and directed by Guy Nattiv (who previously made based-on-truth biopic ‘Skin), it’s a dramatically satisfying film that still suffers from some issues of scale and pace.
